IT Security Group of ASMG started its independent activities in September 2004. Up till then the Security Consultancy and Implementation were being carried out as part of the Banking Services Group.
The IT Security Group is primarily working for Banks, Industries, and other clients. The assignments undertaken by the IT Security Group are primarily of the following nature.

Security Consulting: In the IT enabled environment of today business, each business is vulnerable to attacks via its IT infrastructure and systems. More the dependence on Information Technology, more the vulnerability. IT Security Group undertakes systematic analysis and study of the existing set up including staffing, tools, administration, and other areas.
The findings of the study are used as basis for carrying out threat analysis depending upon the environment in which the organization is working, business domain, past history etc. Complete study is made available to the client to be used as basis for policy making and decisions about security set up. |

Formulation of Security Policies: Based on the study above the Organization is expected to formulate IT Security policy framework and related policies to streamline the IT set up and ensure that each staff member of the organization is clearly aware of the expectations of the Organization. The policies also help in standardization of efforts and commitment thereby ensuring that enterprise wide same standards are adhered to and no gaps are crated, which can be used by an outsider.
IT Security Group will assist the Organization in formulation and codifying the policies including carrying out training for acceptance of the policies across the enterprise. |

Implementation Consultancy: After the two steps above are completed, the organization has to gear up for implementation of the policies and framework in a correct time frame. IT Security Group can assist the organizations in this task. More specifically we will carry out following tasks:
a. Identifying appropriate and suitable solutions from third part vendors
b. Integration of the solutions in the IT set up
c. Training of System Administrators, IT Security Officers, Users, etc.

Certification: A good organization after doing all the efforts will always want to leverage its commitment to IT security as business asset. One of the best ways of doing this is to get the set up and processes certified against a industry accepted standard. IT Security Group will assist the client origination prepare for the certification and actually get the certification done from the third party certifier.
